  • Greg Sauer

    DVM

    Dr. Greg Sauer grew up in La Canada, California. He attended Colorado State University where he graduated from veterinary school in 1985 and joined our hospital upon graduation. Dr. Sauer has a special interest in dermatology and gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association as well as the state and local veterinary organizations. Dr. Sauer has a papillion, Chewy, and two cats, Panther and Tiger. In his spare time, Dr. Sauer likes to spend time with his wife Lisa, his son Austin and daughter Ashley.

  • Nada Khalaf

    DVM

    Dr. Nada Khalaf grew up in Beirut, Lebanon. She attended U.C. Davis where she graduated from Veterinary School in 1991 and joined our hospital in January of 1992. Dr Khalaf has a special interest in internal medicine, continuing education and client communication. Dr. Khalaf was the president of the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association for the year 2011. She is also on the House of Delegates to the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA). She designs and publishes McClave's newsletter: The McClave Tailwagger. Dr. Khalaf has a 22 pound cat named Figaro, a desert tortoise named Walnut and a young African Sulcata Tortoise. In her spare time, Dr. Khalaf likes to travel, spend time in Lake tahoe, hike, play racquetball, read and spend time with friends and family.

  • Kelly Miller

    DVM

    Dr. Kelly Miller grew up in Redlands, California. She worked as a veterinary technician before moving to veterinary school at U.C. Davis where she graduated from in 2007. Dr. Miller decided to return to her Southern California roots and joined our hospital in July. She has two cats, Cole and Tukka, and a special interest in surgery and radiology. In her spare time, she likes to travel, scuba dive and watch movies.

  • Rob Rizzitano

    DVM

    Dr. Rob Rizzitano Graduated from Ohio State University in 1990. He interned at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital from 1990-1991 and has been on staff at VCA West Los Angeles since 1991. Dr. Rob Rizzitano received his veterinary acupuncture certification (C.V.A) on May 11, 2010. He is certified by the Chi Institute of Chinese medicine and the China National Society of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Rizzitano shares his home with his three cats. He enjoys playing music and guitar in his spare time. Dr. Rizzitano is gracious enough to work with us every weekend since June 2008 and is able to accomodate acupuncture appointments.

  • Senta Hutchinson

    DVM

    Dr. Senta Hutchinson, a native of New York, graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. degree in African-American Studies and Ethnomusicology. She completed her pre-veterinary coursework as a student of the Columbia University Post-baccalaureate Premedical Program. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin's School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She completed an internship in surgery, emergency & internal medicine at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center in San Diego in 2008. Dr. Hutchinson has a special interest in cardiology, respiratory disease & emergency/critical care medicine. Dr. Hutchinson shares her home with her darling dogs Darla, Goldie and her sweet kitties Ellie, Penny, and Meow Cat! She is a yoga enthusiast who also enjoys hiking and being outdoors. In her free time, she partakes in a variety of arts & crafts, enjoys an eclectic mix of film and music, and taking long walks. She has been with VCA McClave Animal Hospital in the capacity of our overnight emergency doctor since August of 2008.

  • Geoff Stein

    DVM

    Dr. Stein was born and raised in New Mexico and moved to California in 1976 where he graduated from UC Davis Veterinary School in 1986. He has worked in the San Fernando Valley and surrounding area since graduating and joined the McClave team in 2010. Dr. Stein has a special interest in exotic animals, particularly reptiles, rabbits and rodents. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and past president of the local San Fernando chapter of the Southern California Vet. Med. Association. Dr. Stein has several dogs, cats, a tortoise, three birds and thousands of exotics plants. His wife, Tammy, is a registered veterinary technician and a super animal lover.

  • Anne Dueppen

    DVM

    Dr. Dueppen was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. She moved to Davis, California for college and graduated with a BS in Animal Science in 2001. She stayed in Davis for veterinary school, graduating in 2006. As a veterinary student, Anne developed an interest in exotic animal medicine. Due to her interest in exotics, she moved back to the Los Angeles area to work at VCA Wilshire Animal Hospital in Santa Monica. In 2012, she transferred to VCA McClave Animal Hospital where she hopes to expand the hospital's exotic animal care. Anne has a wonderful cat named Eowyn, a rabbit named Theo, and a crested Gecko named Twitchy. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, swimming, spin classes, reading, and movies. Anne is available to see rabbits, rodents, reptiles as well as dogs and cats.

  • Hughes Sanders

    DVM

    Dr. Hughes Sanders grew up in the small town of Tabor City, North Carolina. His love for animals was apparent early on as he owned a menagerie of pets including rabbits, doves, and a tarantula. Dr. Sanders earned his B.S. in Biology and Psychology from Warren Wilson College, an M.S. in Biology from NYU, and graduated from veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences. After completion of veterinary school, he underwent a one-year surgical and medical internship at VCA California Animal Hospital Veterinary Specialty Group in West L.A. and has decided to make Los Angeles his home. His areas of special interest include emergency/critical care, dermatology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. In his spare time Dr. Sanders enjoys reading, hiking, biking, and spending time with his dog, Sonoma. .

  • Joshua Sheridan

    DVM

    Dr. Sheridan is a native of Fort Myers, Florida. He completed his undergraduate course work in biological anthropology and anatomy at Duke University, and obtained his veterinary degree from Purdue University Veterinary School. In the last year he completed a prestigious internship at VCA West LA, one of the most advanced multispecialty and critical care centers in the country. He has a special interest in cardiology, as well as internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Sheridan has been drawn to animals from an early age and has worked as a musher driving dog sleds prior to attending veterinary school. Dr. Sheridan developed a strong affinity for southern California during his internship and has decided to settle in the San Fernando Valley.
